Allegany County, headquartered in Belmont, announced a refreshed visual identity and a 2027 economic development strategy. The plan creates "Advance Allegany County" as the new identity for economic development and tourism, expands the Western NY Wilds tourism program to neighboring rural counties, and keeps the county seal for ceremonial uses alongside a new everyday county mark. The 2027 strategy focuses on growing existing businesses, attracting investment, redeveloping vacant commercial properties and drawing visitors. The new branding will appear gradually as signs and materials are replaced.
